Up here in the northeast, we are expected to see temperatures in the 90’s and even 100 this week! It’s crazy! All I want to do is eat smoothies in this weather, which is why last night’s dinner consisted of just that.
Banana Blackberry Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- a few ice cubes
- 1 cup almond milk
- a handful of blackberries
- 1 scoop vanilla SunWarrior
- pizzelles (italian waffle cookies) whip and sprinkles to top it off!
I consider this dinner and dessert since I added on some toppings! 🙂 There’s also some hidden strawberries cut up at the bottom of the bowl. It definitely hit the spot after a long day at work!
I repeated Saturday’s upper body workout this morning because it felt so good last week. I modified it a little because I am short on time compared to the weekends, but I left the gym feeling like I did an hour of cardio! I did finish up with 20 minutes on the elliptical, but the strength training had me sweating already.
After enjoying last night’s smoothie so much, I decided to go with the frozen banana theme again this morning. I basically made last night’s smoothie without the blackberries and headed to work.
This weather is not helping me be productive at work. I just want to be swimming or at the beach getting some color!
